I know, that the operating manual underlines 'A/T arm switch always on' because otherwise all the A/T functions like Auto-Idle on RAAS 'Short-Runway-Alert' (!), Safe-Speed-Thrust on ECAM 'Airspeed low' and so on will not function. Thrust levers set to full power too late by PF (me). Reason of crash/tailstrike: airspeed too low because of insufficient thrust. second occurrence 'Tailstrike' (nicely displayed on the ECAM)īoth happened at flaps full, 148kts approach speed (as recommended by FMC), manual Thrust (with A/T arm switch off). first occurrence: ROD > 1000ft/m (fsx crash display) It happend twice over the last two weeks that I 'softly' slammed the T7F onto the runway (sim-in-sim mode for sure):  I am not very experienced in regard to wide body A/Cs, so I see myself as a kind of beginner in that area.
